Mr. Waldo Grant, age 76, passed into eternal rest, Tuesday, June 6, 2023, at the Albany Medical Center in Albany New York after an extended illness. He was born on November 3, 1946, in Bulloch County to his parents, the late Jerome and Mattie Geneva Rucker Grant.
Waldo was raised in Statesboro and decided to relocate to New York in the early 70's. He was married to Marjorie Grant Flowers and to their union they had one son, Michael.
Waldo's memories will forever be cherished by his loving son, Michael Andrew (Denise) Grant, and a granddaughter, Aniya Sanna Grant of Washington, GA; two sisters, Syerena Grant Pollard of Miami, FL; and Pearl Grant of Statesboro, GA; two brothers, Elder James (Vanessa) Grant of Covington, GA; and Matthew Grant of Statesboro, GA. He is also survived by a host of nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives and friends
He is preceded in death by his parents, the late Jerome and Mattie Grant, his siblings, the late Ruby Grant Nance-Joseph, Mary Grant Hanusek, Jeanett J. Grant Mincey Baker, Jimmy Grant, Frank E. Grant, Freddie J. Grant, David Grant, Mark Grant, Howard Grant, Jerome Grant, Jr., Baby Grant, Juanita Grant Lanier, and Letha Ann Grant Moore.
Public viewing for Mr. Grant will be held Friday, June 23, 2023, from 4:00PM to 8:00PM at the Matthew H. Lovett & Son's Funeral Home.
Funeral services for Mr. Grant will be held 2:00PM, Saturday, June 24, 2023, in the Ollie B. Holland Memorial Chapel at the Matthew H. Lovett & Son's Funeral Home with the Rev. Frankie Owens Officiating.
Per Mr. Grants wishes, his final disposition will be cremation.
