Travis Jovan Davis, lovingly known as "Tee," left this world on April 15, 2024, at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro, GA. He was born on March 5, 1980, in his hometown of Statesboro, GA.
Travis was a dedicated employee at the Dollar Tree Distribution Center in Savannah, GA, where his hard work and commitment left a lasting impact on those around him. His educational journey was marked by achievements as he graduated from Statesboro High School in 1998 and went on to earn a Bachelor's degree in business along with a Master's Degree in Marketing.
Beyond his professional accomplishments, Travis was characterized by his infectious sense of humor. Always ready with a joke or funny anecdote, he brightened the lives of his family and friends with his quick wit. His love for humor was matched only by his passion for Batman and his joy in singing.
Travis is preceded in death by his maternal grandparents Earnest Lovett, Jr., and Carolyn Lovett, paternal grandparents Charles Davis and Susie Mae Davis, as well as his sister Salita Walker Williams.
Travis leaves his memories to be cherished by his fiancé La'Toya Wiley, and daughter Trinity Wiley, his mother Sherrell Lovett, father Charles (Lucretia) Davis, and his Godmother Linda Douglas; his siblings, Jamerson Lovett, Charvis Davis, Apri Lovett, and Tyra Davis. In addition to his immediate family, he is mourned by his Goddaughter Saniya Wynn and a host of aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, nephews, and friends who cherish his memories.
Public viewing for Mr. Travis Davis will be held Friday, April 19, 2024, at Matthew H. Lovett & Son's Funeral Home from 12:00 PM to 5:00 PM. The family will receive guests for the family visitation from 5:00 PM to 7:00 PM.
Funeral services to celebrate Travis's life will be held at 2:00 PM, Saturday, April 20, 2024, at the Original First African Baptist Church with Pastor Donald Chavers, officiating, and Rev. Christopher Culbreth, Pastor/presiding. Burial will follow at Bulloch Memorial Gardens.
Honorary pallbearers will be Charvis Davis, Eugene Smith, and the SHS Class of '98.
Active pallbearers will be Cedric Wynn, Jr., Jamerson Lovett, Demarcius Neal, Todd Seymore, Tim Taylor, Ty Henry, and Jeremy "Muff" Lipsey.
