Matthew H. Lovett & Son’s Funeral Home announces the passing of Little RyHemee Tykeil Mitchell, age 1, of Statesboro. Little RyHemee passed away Sunday evening, November 17, 2024, at the Wolfson Children’s Hospital in Jacksonville, FL after a brief illness.
RyHemee Tykeil Mitchell was born on July 12, 2023, in Statesboro, GA, to Leon Hagins and Malaysia Mitchell. He passed away peacefully at Wolfson Children's Hospital in Jacksonville, FL on November 17th, 2024.
RyHemee graced this world for a brief but beautiful year. He brought so much joy and light to his family, always smiling and laughing. Though his time here was short, the love and joy he brought to everyone will forever be cherished, leaving an imprint of love and innocence in the hearts of everyone that knew him. RyHemee was cherished deeply by his family and all those blessed to have been touched by his spirit.
RyHemee is survived by his mother Malaysia Mitchell of Statesboro, GA; his father Leon Hagins of Statesboro, GA; his siblings J'Khai Mitchell of Columbia, SC; Ja'Anthony Mitchell, Aaliyah Hagins, and Raylan Hagins all of Statesboro, GA; his grandparents Tamara Mitchell of Statesboro, GA; LaTrell Gibbons of Sylvania, GA; Rosetta (David) Davis and James Williams all of Statesboro, GA; Mario Jackson of Sylvania, GA; Aaron (Lashawn) Martin of Statesboro, GA; and Annie Ruth Davis of Portal, GA; his aunts Myeshia Gibbons of Columbia, SC; Mariyana (Lawerence) Webb of Statesboro, GA; Sequoiah Jackson of Statesboro, GA; Jailena Mungin of Brunswick, GA; Jada Wright of Sylvania, GA; Mikayla O'Neal of Statesboro, GA; Jonell Green of Statesboro, GA; his uncle's Herve (Joanne) Gibbons of Columbia, SC; De'Andrea Gibbons of Sylvania, GA; Marquez Thompson of Sylvania, GA; James Williams, lll and Jamie Robinson of Statesboro, GA; Jamel Williams of Portal, GA; great aunts Myrtis Hagins, Wanda Hagins, and Leslie Drummer, great uncles Leon Hagins, Doc Hagins, John Hagins and Monte Hagins, all of Statesboro, GA; and a host of cousins and friends.
Public viewing for Little RyHemee will be Friday, November 22, 2024, from 2:00 - 6:00 pm. The family will receive other family members and friends for the family visitation from 6:00 - 8:00 pm at the funeral home.
Funeral services for Little RyHemee will be held on Saturday, November 23, 2024, at 1:00 pm, at Agape Worship Center, 810 W Grady St. Ext, Statesboro, Ga 30458 with Pastor Melvin Byrd, officiating, and Apostle Christerlyn Brooks, presiding; Elder Donald Chavers, Jr., pastor.
Final disposition will be cremation.
