Maribel Calderon Cruz

April 1, 1974 — October 4, 2024

Savannah, GA

Matthew H. Lovett & Son’s Funeral Home announces the passing of Ms. Maribel Cruz, age 50 of Savannah. Maribel passed away on Friday, October 4, 2024, at her residence after fighting a courageous battle with cancer.

Maribel Calderon Cruz was born on April 1, 1974, in San Lorenzo Puerto Rico and grew up in Vineland, New Jersey. Maribel peacefully fell into eternal rest in her sleep on October 4th, 2024, at her home in Savanah, Georgia.

Maribel is the mother to two young men, Adonis & Jeremiah who she loved unconditionally. If you knew Maribel, her boys meant the world to her and are her pride and joy. She never hesitated to show praise and pride in her boys. Her relationship with her sisters Adelina and Tina is something she cherished with all her heart, and from her boys, "thank you for loving her unconditionally, especially in the times that mattered most."

Maribel was one of the most welcoming and heartfelt souls one could ever meet. She cherished the memories of joyful gatherings, celebrations, and the simple beauty of spending time with friends and family. To her mother, siblings, nieces, and nephews, she loved each of you deeply. The moments she shared with each of you were treasures she held close throughout her life.

Maribel is survived by her sons Adonis Cruz and Jeremiah Cruze, a sister Adelina Calderon, and her parents, Maria and Roberto Calderon, and a host of other family members and friends.

As we come together to honor Maribel, we, her sons ask that we do so in celebration, remembering the love, laughter, and countless cherished memories we were fortunate enough to share with her. In her final wish, she asked for her memory to live on. Today, we honor that wish by keeping her spirit alive - reminiscing about the joyous and humorous moments that blessed all of our lives through her presence.

Funeral services are incomplete and will be announced later.

Matthew H. Lovett & Son's Funeral Home, LLC is in charge of final arrangements.
