Lue Ann Allen

Lue Ann Allen Lee was born on June 1, 1941, in Montgomery, Alabama, to Jack and Amanda Allen Cobbs. Along with her three sisters, she later moved to Cuthbert, Georgia. Two of her sisters, Annie Lois Cobbs and Willie Mae Hart, preceded her in death. Lue Ann attended Randolph County Training School. She became a devoted member of Antioch Baptist Church until she moved to Newark, New Jersey, where she met her beloved husband, Leveland Lee. In Newark, she joined Hopewell Baptist Church and remained a dedicated member until her health began to decline. Eventually, Lue Ann and Leveland returned to Georgia to be closer to family. Lue Ann departed from this life on August 1, 2024, at her residence while under the care of Golden Rule Hospice after an extended illness.

She leaves behind to cherish her beautiful memories: her dedicated and loving husband, whom she shared over 50 years with Mr. Leveland Lee of Atlanta, GA; a loving sister, Mary Pope (Georgia); their 5 children they raised as their own Grace Lee, Wanda (Larry) McCoy, Shaquana Lee, Sharmel Lee (Pennsylvania) and Emani Barr (Virginia). A host of nieces, nephews, grandkids, and a special dedicated caregiver of 10 years, Bertha Jones.

A gentle heart stopped beating. The angelic sound of your voice we will hear no more. No more pain and suffering will you have to endure. But God are we thankful for the years you blessed us with her presence, we just need your strength to adjust to her absence. She was truly a blessing to our family and anyone else she could bless she would. Our go-to girl. You will be missed..... We love you. Take your rest our Angel.
