Kwame Manu Acheampong

Matthew H. Lovett & Son's Funeral Home announces the passing of Mr. Kwame Manu Acheampong, age 71, of Atlanta, GA. Mr. Acheampong passed away Sunday, January 7, 2024, at the Piedmont Hospital in Atlanta, GA after an extended illness.

Mr. Acheampong is a native of Kumasi, Ghana. He is the son of the late Opanin Akwasi Manu and Madame Akosua Donkor. He migrated from Ghana to the United Kingdom and later to the United States in the late 60's. He attended and graduated from the University of Massachusetts and the University of Pittsburg. He completed both his undergraduate and graduate degrees in chemical engineering and worked with various companies in the oil industry, with the bulk of his career spent in the Middle East.  

Kwame is survived by his three children, Natasha Ama Acheampong, Nana Osei Acheampong, and Jamela Adwoa Acheampong, a sister, Ms. Lilian Monica Akosah of London, United Kingdom; and an additional sister who resides in Ghana and a brother who resides in the United States.
