Joseph Henry Blair

Matthew H. Lovett & Son’s Funeral Home announces the passing of Mr. Joseph Henry Blair, age 69 of Statesboro. Mr. Blair passed away on Wednesday evening, March 12, 2025, at East Georgia Regional Medical Center in Statesboro after an extended illness. He was under the care of Georgia Hospice. 

Joe as he was called by family and friends was born on July 4, 1955, in Pembroke, Georgia to his parents Dorsey Henry Blair and Betty Jean Warren Blair. He was raised mostly by his beloved Aunt Bracie Burch. He was watched over in his later years by Olan and Diane Blair; his wonderful friend, BJ Scott; and her daughter, Chantel. Many thanks to Frances Beasley for her selflessness in giving her time and love to Joe. We would also like to thank the staff and patients at Heritage Inn in Statesboro for showing him love, compassion, and kindness. 

The family will hold a private memorial gathering at a later date.
