Eugene Murray

Mr. Eugene Murray, age 69 of Statesboro, passed away unexpectedly Sunday, October 30, 2022, at his residence. He was born April 3, 1953 in Pembroke, GA to the late Eddie and Emma Murray.

A lifelong resident of Bulloch County, Eugene receieved his education in the Bulloch County public school system. He worked as a carpenter for many years. Eugene enjoyed riding his bike, he loved to cook and enjoyed listening to music. He is preceded in death by his parents, the late Eddie and Emma Murray and one brother, Eddie Murray, Jr.

He leaves his memories to be cherished by his fiancé of 31 years, Oreta Timmons, one son, Shawn Coleman, one daughter, Shanika Ware and one stepdaughter, Coreta Huff all of Statesboro, GA; six sisters, Eddie Mae Wynn of Jacksonville, FL; Marie (Walter) Carter, Susie Murray, Bernice Murray, Annette Murray (Gilmer), Julia Murray (Mr. Kim) and one brother, Marcus Murray all of Statesboro, GA. He is also survived by six grandchildren and a host of nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.

Viewing for Mr. Eugene Murray will be held Friday, November 4, 2022 from Noon to 6:00PM in the Joanna Holland Fields visitation room at the Matthew H. Lovett & Son's Funeral Home.

Funeral services for Mr. Murray will be held Saturday, November 5, 2022 at 1:00 PM at the Matthew H. Lovett & Son's Funeral Home with Minister Grady Cone as the Eulogist. Final disposition will be by cremation.
