Matthew H. Lovett & Son’s Funeral Home announces the passing of Ms. Brittany Hester, age 35, of Statesboro. Ms. Hester passed away unexpectedly on Saturday, June 22, 2024, at the East Georgia Regional Medical Center.
Brittany LaPorcha Hester departed from this world on June 22, 2024. She was born on January 22, 1989, to Carmen Hester and the late Willie Smith. Brittany was a 2007 graduate of Bryan County High School. She was a General manager at McDonald’s in Pembroke, Ga. Brittany was married on September 18, 2019, to Marcal Jones.
Brittany was preceded in death by her father Willie Smith, her maternal grandmother Claudia H. Williams, paternal grandmother Lillie Mae Boatwright, her mother-in-law Janelle Corley and her uncle Jessie Williams.
She leaves to cherish her memories: her husband Harold Marcal Jones, and her children Janariah La’Shae Smith and Myrical Le’Asia Brinae Jones. Her mother Carmen Hester and her stepfather Charlie Thomas Roberson, Sr. Five sisters – April (TC) Cooper, Katina Young, Tiffany Smith, Crystal Hester, and Tamara Hester. Three brothers-Jermel (Harriet) Williams, Charlie Thomas (Keonna) Roberson, and Maurice Yong. Three sisters-in-laws Coleen Brutton, Denise Jones, and Tyler Hills. Two best friends – Kadeisha Jenkins and Constance Mosley. A host of aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, cousins and friends.
Public viewing for Ms. Brittany Hester will take place on Friday, July 5, 2024, from 1:00 PM until 5:00 PM. The family will receive guests for the family visitation from 5:00 PM to 8:00 PM at Matthew H. Lovett & Son's Funeral Home.
There will be a Memorial Balloon release for Brittany on the same night of the visitation at 7:30 PM at the funeral home. The balloon colors are purple and white.
Funeral Services for Ms. Hester will be held on Saturday, July 6, 2024, at 11:00 AM at the Athens Holiness Church, 215 Athens Church Road, Pembroke, GA 31321 with Rev. Frankie Owens, officiating; Bishop Marion Stewart, Pastor.
Interment will follow at Boyd's Temple Church Cemetry in Pembroke, GA.
Pallbearers will be Vic Thompson, James Phillips, Wendell Foxworth, Darrell Hester, Walter Williams, and Craig Williams.
On the day of the service, the family will meet all family and friends at 10:00 AM at 164 Taylor Street, Pembroke, GA 31321 to line up for the funeral procession.
