Matthew H. Lovett & Son’s Funeral Home announces the passing of Mr. Brandon Mincey, age 37 of Statesboro. Mr. Mincey passed away on Friday, October 11, 2024, in Gwinnett County.
Brandon Lashwn Mincey, entered into eternal rest on October 11, 2024, in Buford, GA. Born on December 22, 1986, in Augusta, GA, Brad was the beloved son of Melissa Mincey-Hobbs and Johnny Lester Timmons.
Affectionately known as "Brad," he was a man whose heart belonged to his family. His love for his children and those closest to him was evident in all that he did. A true family man, Brad found joy in the simplest pleasures of life, particularly in sharing meals with those he loved. His favorite comfort food was a delicious plate of fried chicken and pancakes, a reflection of his warm and vibrant spirit.
Brad was a passionate sports enthusiast, known for his deep admiration of Kobe Bryant and his loyalty to the Los Angeles Lakers and the New England Patriots. His energy, enthusiasm, and dedication to the teams he loved will always be remembered.
Brad leaves behind a legacy of love and devotion through his cherished children: Aaliyah Lorraine Mincey, Jaileel Keshaun Mincey, and Kyshaun Jerdarius Mincey, all of Charlotte, NC; and Fabian Garcia of Metter, GA. He is also survived by his loving parents, Melissa Mincey-Hobbs and Johnny Timmons, both of Metter, GA. He will be deeply missed by his brothers, Marvin Mincey of Metter, GA; Ricardo Mincey of Atlanta, GA; Pascal Wilkerson, and Jontavius Timmons, both of Statesboro, GA; and his adopted sister, Jasmine Edwards of Metter, GA.
Brad's life was a tapestry woven with love for his family, passion for sports, and a strong sense of loyalty. Though he has departed from this earthly life, the memory of his warmth, laughter, and kind heart will forever remain with those who knew and loved him.
A public viewing for Brandon Mincey will be held on Thursday, October 24, 2024, from 1 PM to 5 PM at the funeral home. The family will receive guests for the family visitation from 5 PM to 7 PM.
There will be a memorial balloon release in honor of Brandon on Thursday, October 24, 2024, at 7:30 pm at the funeral home. The balloon colors are black and white.
Funeral services for Mr. Mincey will be held at 11:00 AM, Friday, October 25, 2024, at the Mt. Olive Missionary Baptist Church #1 in Register, GA with Rev. Darrell Hart, Pastor/eulogist and Rev. Donald Chavers, Presiding.
Final disposition will be cremation.
Pallbearers will be family and friends
